Lil Wayne Says He Can Put Out “Tha Carter V” Anytime He Wants

The New Orleans rapper may be engulfed in a legal battle with his parent label Cash Money but he claims he has the ability to drop his long-awaited studio album Tha Carter V whenever he wants.

Speaking in an interview, the young money boss revealed. “The fans deserve it to be right and that’s how it’s gonna be. I’ma make sure it’s right. I can drop whatever I want to drop. That’s why I keep dropping whatever I want to drop.” It’s true that Wayne has continued to release music since his legal battle with Birdman began, sharing both free and stream-only releases like Free Weezy Album, Sorry 4 The Wait 2 and No Ceilings 2, as well as continuing to appear as a featured artist — most notably on his semi-collaborative project with 2 ChainzColleGrove. However, Carter V will not be released in such a fashion, even though Wayne maintains that it could.
